The beginning of a long-awaited reconstruction of the railway station in Bourgas is a fact.
The investment amounted over 8 million Lev, and the repair began by the permission of the Minister of Culture Rashidov, because the building is an object of culture.
The project will renovate the reception building, it will perform restoration of the façade and it will be built modern installations, will be updated platforms and will provide access for people with reduced mobility. By the project this should be done in 20 months.
The first building of the station Bourgas was built in the early XX century and is one of the first railway stations in Bulgaria. The building was done of three stages in the period from 1908 to 1929. Not surprisingly, the station was declared as an architectural monument – timely it is a modern, functionally and aesthetically project.
