Snake with a record length of more than 2 m is caught by a team of experts near Bourgas.
The animal was found in routine monitoring by a group of scientists and students from the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Sofia University and Shumen University.
The serpent is a non-indigenous snake and belongs to the species Great Shooter (Dolichophis caspius) and its total length is 203 cm.
So far only two messages have been documented in Bulgaria for captured snakes over 200 cm in length.
