The medieval church "St. John Aliturgetos " in Nessebar will rise to new life.
Mayor of Nessebar Nikolay Dimitrov, US Ambassador Marcie Ries and the Chairman of the Bulgarian National Committee of the International Council on Monuments and Sites Assoc. Prof. Stefan Belishki gave a symbolic start of the project for conservation and restoration of the temple.
The medieval temple will be preserved and restored under a project supported by the US government as a part of the Ambassador Fund for Cultural Heritage Preservation. The financial part amounted to 700 thousand Dollars.
