Tourists in trouble won’t pay for their rescue

Many hurt and lost mountain tourists refuse to pay for the rescue operations carried out to help them.

The Bansko Mountain Rescue Service alarmed about the problem.

For two consecutive days they’ve had to help stranded skiers and snowboarders in the alleys of Echmishte, below Mt. Vihren.

The rescue teams had to enter the avalanche risk zone to help two stranded English tourists and then two Greek brothers who caused an avalanche with their extreme skiing outside the designated zone, standartnews.com reports.
