A giant butterfly hatched in Bourgas

At the Flora exposition center in Bourgas is hatched a representative of the largest butterfly species in the world Attacus Atlas, referred to as "Atlas". Four of her puppies can be opened at any moment.

The people from Bourgas and guests of the city have only a few days to see them. After hatching, the Atlas butterflies do not eat.

They have no squat and live until they reach the reserves accumulated in the caterpillar period. That's why their lives are very short - just 2-3 days.

The exhibition is open every day between 09.00 and 20.00 until the end of August.
