On the day of its feast /August 15 / last year restored church "Assumption" on the island St. Anastasia got its first icons. They are 14 in number, are apostolic ordered and are affixed on the iconostasis dating from 1802 .
The church, however, is about to lose this iconostasis, because lit candles smoked it. By visiting the island at the outset officials warn candles in the temple not to be burned. This seems strange for the visitors and many of them choose not to comply with the warning.
"The temple is a real cultural costliness. The requirements for its preservation are higher than an ordinary temple. It is desirable to create an organization such as in many other temples, not to light candles inside, because it smoked the frescoes and in time we can lose them." Said Vesselina Ilieva, chief architect of Bourgas.
