Bourgas already has its own motto - Eternal as the sea.
The proposal was adopted with 39 votes - for, 0 - against and two abstentions by the aldermen.
Bourgas citizens gave more than 300 proposals for a motto. Three of them were selected by a special commission. The other two proposals were "Sea, spirit and faith" and "Ghost, sea and eternity." It was a survey in which 2464 people voted, of which 64% supported "Eternal as the sea."
