Maritime Bulgarian - AD concluded a contract for the construction of new 4 + 2 bulk carriers/ships with one of the three largest shipyards in China.
The ships will have a new, extremely efficient design and will be equipped with the latest engines, mechanisms and technologies.
Each one of them will have a 45,000-ton (DWT) lifting capacity of 10.80 meters and a reinforced hull as well as a propulsion complex for sailing in ice regions such as the Baltic Sea, the Azov Sea and Canada.
The first ship is expected to be operational by mid-2019.
The new investment from the company will exceed $ 100 million.
