Training office for diabetics works in the Division of Endocrinology of the Hospital Bourgas.
It is equipped with visual aids, which in an easy and affordable way explain to patients how to develop proper diet and which foods in what amounts can be accepted. There are computer stations on which patients can make further inquiries.
"The training is carried out by doctors and nurses and entered into the algorithm of treatment of the patient. They give information to patients what diet to comply with, how to eat properly and how to cook. If diabetics take pills or insulin, how to combine that intake with meals and physical activity", said Dr. Yordanka Koruderlieva, which for many years headed the department. She is one of the most respected Bourgas endocrinologists, and is currently Deputy Director of the therapeutic activity of Bourgas hospital. In the Department of Endocrinology pass around 100-120 patients monthly.
