Bourgas already have the first regional Department of Vascular Surgery.
It was discovered in University Hospital for Active Treatment Bourgas AD, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Valentin Vasilev.
The clinic is a third level of competency, there are working six doctors, four of them have two specialties - "Surgery" and "Vascular surgery" - Assoc. Prof. Valentin Vasilev, Dr. Ognian Matkov, Dr. Borislav Trapchev, Dr. Stoycho Shishkov. In the clinic are studying also two graduate Vascular Surgery doctors - Dr. Ivo Hadjiev and Dr. Radoslav Shishkov.
At the Department of Vascular Surgery is flowing the current Department of Vascular Surgery, and yet its expansion with new units.
Until six years in Bourgas there was not a vascular surgeon.
