45 young doctors specialize in University Hospital of Bourgas. This makes it the largest scientific and practical training unit for medical specialists in Southeastern Bulgaria.
The training of one medical practitioner lasts for five years. During this time he worked in the hospital, studied theory, and exams. Good news for Bourgas is that half of the now trained graduates will remain at the University Hospital in Bourgas.
Since two years, the hospital has assumed certain costs for young doctors against a contract that obliges them to remain in employment there for five years after completing the specialization.
