Forecasts of the Ministry of Tourism for the summer season show a rise in tourists between 3 and 4 percent, said Tourism Minister Nikolina Angelkova to BNT.
She confirmed that the ministry expected drop in the Russian and Ukrainian tourists, but offset from markets such as Lithuania, Latvia and Belarus, with projected growth of 40 percent.
Expected growth of 5% from Germany, 10% from Greece and 10% from Serbia. Forecast to increase from Turkey, Poland, Czech Republic, noted Angelkova. The simplification of visa procedures for Ukraine and Russia are in place so that these small steps we can keep the number of tourists from Russia and Ukraine last year and "the decline will not be as big".
