The building, in which is an exposition of the Museum of History of Varna was converted in 1851 to the Belgian consulate. Later it was turned into a hotel, but by the end of the XIX century to 1929 it was used as a prison.
The museum was established in 1969. The exposition is arranged on three floors with a total area of 600 square meters and follows the development of the city as a major port, commercial, industrial, cultural, educational and tourist center in the years 1878 to 1939.
In the rooms have been restored with original articles craft workshops, a hotel room, a confectionery, an inn, a photo studio, law firm office, a millinery shop, a bookstore, a toy shop, a radio shop, a sitting of the beach with cabins, made of cane living room and a patio of Varna house.
