The Bulgarian movie "Sinking of Sozopol" received seven nominations, including for best film at the film festival in New York.
The film is based on the novel by Ina Valchanova and tells the story of 50-year-old architect who heads to Sozopol, and his faithful companion is alcohol.
The film is directed by Konstantin Bonev. Starring are Dejan Donkov and Snejina Petrova.
"The sinking of the town" is a part of the selection of the New York Film Festival. It was nominated seven times in different categories.
The nominations are for the best film, for the best director, for actor and actress in head roles, for supporting male and female supporting roles, and cinematography.
