About 35-40% of saled cheese is fake – what is offering they are actually yellow cheeses not even produced in Bulgaria, but are imported.
It was clear from the words of the President of the Association of Dairy Dimitar Zorov during the exhibition Interfood & Drink.
"This is not cheese, this is an imitation. It is no secret that many cheeses come from Poland, the Netherlands, Czech Republic and Germany and because the Russian embargo they are low prices. These products are cut in our companies, put their Bulgarian number and label "cheese" and the user is mistaken", said Zorov.
