On August 25th the Ruen municipality will visit the National Campaign "Right to sight". The campaign aims to raise awareness of the most common eye diseases - cataract (eye cataract) and glaucoma, as well as provide access to a specialist - an ophthalmologist in small settlements.
It’s participating ophthalmologists across the country. The National Campaign visits Ruen with the assistance of Ruen municipality and Ophthalmology Department of the University Hospital of Bourgas.
Within the campaign provided one information talk and the possibility of free screening for attendees. The campaign is aimed at people over the age of 50 because they are at risk for both diseases. The medical expert who will deliver a lecture in Ruen is Dr. Rumen Mutavchiev, ophthalmologist, head of the Ophthalmology Department at the University Hospital of Bourgas.
