Two-day visit by representatives of the municipality of Sozopol and local entrepreneurs and hoteliers in the town of Corfu was a part of the "Borderless good manager". This is the second visit of Sozopol representatives in the Greek resort within the project which aimed to exchange of best practices between representatives of both tourist town as well as the strategy and sharing experiences for an inclusion in the tourism industry of people of different vulnerable groups. During the discussions was given time to discuss the situation in tourism during the crisis.
The working meeting between the representatives of the town of Corfu and Sozopol began with a lecture by Prof.. Dr. Sonia Mileva, a professor at Sofia University "Sv. Kliment Ohridski" and in the Faculty of Economics. The theme was "Good practices and capabilities in support of the municipalities of Sozopol and Corfu and a development of the entrepreneurship and employment promotion in tourism including among vulnerable groups (women, youth, Roma).
The Speaker of the Greek side was Spyridon Vasiliadis, an owner of a travel agency. His lecture was entitled "Employment, social inclusion, knowledge and skills; Study on the development of local strategies".
Particular interest to representatives of Sozopol Municipality caused the lecture of Vassilios Laopodis, president of the NGO Culture Polis. He touched the subject of the problems of the local entrepreneurship in times of crisis and lay out the possibilities for a winning combination of agriculture, cultural heritage and tourism.
