The press conference "Rescue archaeological studies along the water cycle" within the project "Integrated Water Cycle Project Sozopol - I stage" was opened by the vice mayor of the municipality of Sozopol Petya Chapevova, the head of the rescue excavations Yavor Ivanov from the Institute BAS Archeology and the director of the Archaeological Museum in Sozopol Dimitar Nedev, who was a member of the team made the archeological excavations in the frame of the project.

Impressive are two graves of Romans to the late first century and early second century. In one of them, archaeologists founded balsamarii glass and a reach ornate handle of a bronze vessel with an image of the goddess Cybele.
Another object that reveals a part of the rich history of the ancient town are the excavations near the administrative building of the municipality. There the archaeologists encountered a tomb chapel, which dates back to between the 12th and 14th centuries, with outstanding frescoes.
