The youngest Bulgarian town and one of the most attractive resorts on the South coast is about to change its name.The residents of Chernomorets, Sozopol Municipality, organized a petition for the return of the old name of the place.
Nearly 1,100 residents over age 18 have signed under the request of the town to reclaim its name of St. Nicholas.
Although a small number, some residents do not support the idea because of the complications that will follow after the change of the name. They'll need to replace all personal documents, transaction documents, ads, messages and advertising, etc.
