Sozopol and Orthodox Christians will celebrate peculiar anniversary of the discovery of the relics of St. John the Baptist,
which was revealed by prof. Kazimir Popkonstantinov in the Patriarchal Basilica from the V century "St. John the Baptist " on the island " St. Ivan". The sensational discovery excited before five years the Christian world, reflected in global agencies: CNN; The Wall Street Journal and others.
In this regard will be open an exhibition in the Archaeological Museum of Sozopol with a variety of objects found in the monastery.
It will be celebrated a solemn service of Metropolitan Yoanikii at 10.00. On July 25th in the church "St. St. Cyril and Methodius " and at 17.00 in the Archaeological Museum will officially open the exhibition.
