Secret society in which are members of scientists, archaeologists and quite wealthy Bulgarians, most of them living abroad, managed to get and redeem Bulgarian relics, often owned by extremely powerful and untouchable people.
Among ransom relics are important manuscripts, valuable books and icons. One such icon is the Virgin Mary, carried over into the early 16th century in Constantinople and rescued from burning monastery on St. Ivan Island in Sozopol. Possession of Greece and the Greek Patriarchate are many valuable historical objects from the Bulgarian lands which are the subject of negotiations and purchases informally.
