The emblem of the world sport Sergei Bubka arrives at the invitation of the mayor Dimitar Nikolov and the Bulgarian Athletics Federation in Bourgas. Olympic and world champion, improved 35 times the world record in the pole vault, is coming on Monday / October 20th / to make a real jump-start of the project "Arena Bourgas".
The extremely large-scale enterprise will be implemented in two phases - building a multipurpose hall with a basic profile athletics and an implementation of the European Championships in 2019 in the same hall.
There were provided 5 of the total required to design and build more than 30 million Lev. After a competition was chosen a contractor and now is cleared some of the neglected for decades terrain.
The visit of Sergei Bubka in Bourgas is a good sign for the future of the project. He is vice president of the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF), member of the International Olympic Committee and a man of extremely high prestige in the world sports community. His visit is a kind of support for Bourgas to host the European Athletics Championships in hall in 2019
