Over 200 athletes from 33 clubs wrestling will participate in the National Championship which will be held on 22 and 23 March in Sozopol. The best in the power sport will compete in several categories - men, women, adolescents and competition for people with disabilities.

Among the competitors in Sozopol will be the vice world champion in arm wrestling Dimitrina Dimitrova, the adolescent at heavyweight Mitko Petrov, who won European and World titles with the right hand and the silver medals with his left hand, the gold medalists of the European and World Championships George Gaydardzhiev and Krasimir Kostadinov. Armwrestling enables people with disabilities to compete and to be a part of sporting glory Federation in arm wrestling .

A series of exhibition game wins before the start of the season shot FC Sozopol ahead among the best prepared and most successful teams in the Southeastern C Group. Their undisputed victories over two B Group teams won the newcomers respect in the football community. The Sozopol players achieved a 2:1 win against FC Dunav Ruse and steamrolled FC Botev Gulubova with 4:2. The pre-season training continued with an exemplary match against the Pomorie team, ending in 4:0.

The next exhibition game is this week against FC Strandzha Metalurg in Sredets, but the team’s management has already decided on a line-up for the new season.

FC Sozopol’s preparation continues with intense physical and tactical training at the new playing field in Chernomorets.
