The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia claims necessity of drawing up Russian visas for foreigners to visit the Republic of Crimea, unrecognized by Ukraine, reads a statement made by the Russian Foreign Ministry's press service.
"In connection with Crimea's and Sevastopol's annexation to the Russian Federation to visit Crimea's territory foreign citizen needs to get Russian visa at a diplomatic mission or consular institution of the Russian Federation," the statement said.
It notes that the questions of departure of foreign citizens who stay on Crimea's territory, who arrived previously in keeping with the Ukrainian legislation in visa-free regime, have to be resolved via the Russian Foreign Ministry's office in Simferopol.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the Ukrainian Foreign Affairs Ministry claims blanks of Ukrainian passports are being carried away from Crimea for possible use by Russia's Federal Security Service in provocations.
The Foreign Ministry confirms that Crimean residents are allowed to receive visas for visiting the European Union countries by Ukrainian passports only.
