By a decision of the government retired, the municipality of Bourgas received the airport near Ravnets.

The history of the airbase "Ravnets" began in 1953 when there were first deployed aircraft. The airport, which has two runways, is used actively to 1992. Then the planes and personnel from it are transferred to the base "Graf Ignatievo" Plovdiv.
