Nearly 4000 homes in Bijala are bought by foreigners, said the mayor Anastas Trendafilov.
According to him, the owners are mainly from Russia, but there are investors from Scandinavia and Germany. Trendafilov added that foreigners enjoy housing mostly in the summer, all year round in Bijala the population is of about 100 people. To the region it has serious interest, added the mayor. According to him, the interest is mainly on the construction of hotels and residential buildings.
Trendafilov explained that the price of the apartments varies between 500 and 800 EUR per square meter.
