Seaside vegetable markets to save agriculture

Minister of Agriculture Dimitar Grekov has promised to support Bulgarian farmers and one of the planned reforms features constructing vegetable markets along the Black Sea coast and the harbors along the Dunabe.

At a meeting with representatives of the “Made in Bulgaria” Union he commented “We’ll create more stimuli for small and medium farmers to develop, because this is the formula for exiting the financial crisis”.

He pointed out that it’s a priority for the government not only to increase domestic products on the Bulgarian market, but on the foreign as well. “There’s no question that Bulgaria’s concern is agriculture. We need to develop it, because 20% of the population works in this sector” reminded the minister.
