New types of urological bloodless surgery and treatments introduced in Bourgas hospital.
One of them is so - called percutaneous nephrostomy. It is used in obstructed kidneys and is unclogging the kidney through a small tube that enters the area of the hip.
Novelty is litotripter, which will run from January 2016. Apparatus breaks stones in the kidney, uretras and bladder outside the body using ultrasonic waves. The patient does not feel pain or discomfort.
Operations prostate also make bloodless - through so-called transurethral resection. Compared with the widely advertised lasers there it is possible concurrently with the operation to take the biopsy, and examined for malignant cells. The laser does not provide such an opportunity as evaporates prostate. Minus the patient, the laser is not covered by health insurance until all operations in Bourgas hospital are paid by the Fund.
