95% are the losses of the tour operators. There are different sectors in tourism.
Some of the hoteliers at the sea and in our mountain resorts managed to compensate. Some even noted growth. But in terms of outbound tourism - things are scary, said on the air of "Bulgaria in the Morning" Rumyana Baltova from the Association of Bulgarian Tour Operators.
"We have the right to work, but we can't work, given that the rules change every 15 days. The big campaign started in April. To survive, we need about 10% of the turnover," Baltova told Bulgaria ON. AIR.
According to her, BGN 155 million is the money needed to cover the industry's losses.
"The truth is that today opens a program for which we have been actively fighting since July - then we were promised some 10 million levs, which we should have received in early September. The program is currently not adapted to our needs. We will take this money at the end of November. This 155 million levs is only for our survival, "she stressed.
Baltova pointed out that the amount is not impossible to save the tourism sector.
"This sector provides 14% of the country's GDP. We have the hope that at some point we will start working and return people's money. These BGN 155 million can be in the form of loans, not only in the form of loans. grants, "she explained.
