Tourists complain about the invasion of jellyfish on our southern Black Sea coast.
Already in the first days of September, most of the small bays are captured by the large rhizostomous jellyfish.
During the colder autumn days the migration of the jellyfish to the shallower waters is a common phenomenon. However, according to ichthyologists, this phenomenon is observed about 20 days earlier than usual.
According to scientists, another reason for the jellyfish invasion may be the abundant presence of food - zooplankton. This year there is a large amount of plankton in the coastal waters along the Southern Black Sea coast.
