Both serviceable fighter MIG-29 will be phased out.

This information confirmed the MP and member of the defense commission Atanas Zafirov.

"There is a reality for our country to lose its air sovereignty, because in the coming months our Air Force will have no planes. It is expected in May in Bulgaria there were no military aircraft," said Zafirov.

Referring to the information presented in the Committee on Defence Zafirov said that the situation is similar with Bulgarian tanks and ships. "Not only will we have no planes, but we will have to endure foreign pilots though because someone will perform this air defenses, but it will be not Bulgaria," added Atanas Zafirov.

In such a situation, Bulgaria will be forced to turn for assistance to Greece and Turkey, which are the closest partners of NATO.
