Bulgaria can become a sanatorium and prophylactics of Europe as it was in Roman times. It said in Varna the Deputy Minister of economy Branimir Botev at meeting with the tourism industry.
Within a few weeks the strategy for tourism development will be presented for approval to the Cabinet and then - and in the parliament.
The document provides details of the development of the sector by 2020. Botev said that one of the greatest opportunities facing our country is the development of the water therapeutical and spa tourism. Bulgaria has a huge amount of mineral waters and it is exploited some 1.5 percent of the capacity, said the Deputy Minister.
