Bulgarian cables for the next Mercedes

Electrocable Bulgaria, a subsidiary of the international cable manufacturer Nexans Autoelectric Group will be producing cables for “Mercedes”.

The group has signed all necessary contracts by the end of 2013 and thanks to their work a modern 5000sq.m factory will soon be built in Pleven.

Construction will start in the spring of 2014 and the company expects the plant to start working by the end of the year. At peak capacity it will employ 600 people.

Macedonia and Romania were also possible locations for the investment. The German company has three factories in Romania, but ultimately it decided on Bulgaria.
